Shall U.S. Government let Immigrates have Dream?

Kook discusses the DREAM Act something I have gone through before. Although I can't seem to find his argument I do find his criticism of  U.S. Senator Hatch quite reasonable. It just goes to show the real interests of our dear representatives, the re-election. This shows that the system of government is a bit broken. I sincerely hate to see that the once follower of this act opposes it now because his re-election might be at risk. This is probably not the exception I am sure many of our sincere legislators have done this to many of these controversial acts. This is a flaw that I don't think will be able to correct and it is sad to see that it wont be able to fix this.

The War On Terror Part 2

The fact is the Drug cartels have become to dominant in Mexico. The U.S. has options to help. The first is by helping the Mexican with military forces for this to happen the United States would definitely move out of the middle east as soon as possible. Personally I see this very hard to happen any time soon but there's other options. Another somewhat good option would be to join forces with the F.B.I and C.I.A so they could help the Mexican government can be more efficient in taking down the cartels through the use of technology. The cartels use the internet and radios to communicate I am sure they can find a way to pin point them in the internet and the radios are easy to pick up.

The problem is that the U.S. is really busy in the middle east and here at home with the whole economic depression that they don't put the necessary attention to this problem that is affecting Mexico and the U.S. also. If the U.S. would put attention it has in the middle east in Mexico the Mexican government would be a lot better off than the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan. It is just hard to see why the United States would not help Mexico to fight the drug cartels. It makes you think why be in another country that obviously does not like democracy but not help your southern neighbor who is having a war against drugs and the U.S. being the main problem because they smuggle the drugs into the United States. The Mexican government are in need of help severely and the United States needs to be part of the help.

U.S lending Mexican Journalists a Hand

In this Blog Joaquin presents to us the recent problem of the Mexican journalists who's life's are at risk. He argues that Mexico's freedom of press is in danger and I without a doubt agree with him. The Drug cartels have took the liberty to take control of what they publish about them by making their own newspapers and magazines and also by killing the journalists who make them look bad or publish something they don't seem very pleasant. This causes a problem when your a journalist because you cannot be free to express your feelings or report something you feel the public needs to know. The U.S. Government should really look into it because it is very well a problem when lives of journalists are at risk.

The War On Terror

The war on terror has been a very expensive war that has nothing to do with us. That war should be fought by those countries not us it is simple as that. I find no reason for us to be invading a country to impose "Democracy" something that those people obviously dont want. I strongly believe that we should leave and instead focus on other matters. For example the war that is a lot closer to us and is affecting us, The Mexican Drug War. This war should be incredibly way more important than any other war going on because this is affecting us directly. Our troops should be helping Mexico with this fight its more important to keep our borders safe than to keep terrorists blowing themselves up in another continent.

We have terrorists on our borders they kill and kidnap as they please because the local Mexican police has become overwhelmingly corrupt. These drug cartels have very heavy artillery that they arent afraid to use against the Mexican military. The take over ranches and houses by force and kill anyone who oppose them. They smuggle drugs into the United States by the tons and yet we pay little attention to this war. We simply need to focus our military actions in places that actually matter. The War On Terror should be ended and the Drug War should be our focus now.

Trust Reason, Not Emotion, on the DREAM Act

The DREAM Act is a piece of legislation that has many undocumented kids and young adults hopeful of becoming a citizen of this great country. Most of these kids have lived here all of their lives and don't know any other country than this one. I know cases in which the child was born out of the country brought to this country illegally and their parents speak another language but the child only speaks English. This is seen everyday these kids have no fault in being undocumented if anyone should be punished it should be the parents. In Heather Mac Donald's side she believes the legislation is not a very good idea and should  be postponed until the border is most definitely secure.

As one of those beneficiaries of the legislation of course I believe it is a good idea but in need of some revision. I completely agree that the legislation might benefit some criminals, and strongly support a way in which they should not benefit from the act. Now to the rest of the kids it should be granted if and only if they continue their education to the point in which they have a degree. Only then I believe they should have granted the honor of being a United States citizen. I disagree that until the border is secure they should take care of this, with the ongoing drug war in Mexico I don't think it will be safe for a good while.

As a person who will benefit from it I don't ask for any sympathy from our lovely lawmakers I only ask for an opportunity to live the so called "American Dream" and let me integrate into this society in which I have grown into. I don't know anything else other than this country and if I am to be sent back to my home country I will have no life unfortunately because I am American, with American habits and point of views. I have lived here all my life and have grown to like it very much. Unfortunately because I am undocumented I am restrained from getting a job and be able to pay for my own tuition something that really frustrates me a lot because my parents break their back I have watched them work very hard and I feel like its up to me now to guide myself to a better living through education something my parents couldn't get.

In conclusion I feel like Ms. Heather should be a bit more open minded in this issue. She believes that way because she has probably never talked to or read about some of these kids. These kids aren't trying to break the law they are simply trying to further their education, blocking these kids from exploring their creativity and abilities as people is wrong if anything those people who are keeping these kids from their education should be the criminals not them.

A united conservative movement

The recent elections have heavily favored the Republicans, this has sparked the question that exactly how is the president going to cope with a majority in the House that honestly hates him as harsh as it may sound it is true. Many conservatives feel its the presidents job now to work with them to compromise in many issues although they have very different point of views. Conservatives have made it hard for the president to compromise at all a lot of what he has done has been to keep the conservatives happy.

The following article , Politico, makes the argument that the American people have spoken loudly against the "Big Government". Mr. Meese fails to tell the people that the young voter turn out in this election fell 60%. The young people who will shape our country in the future did not turn out to vote this year, what does that say? Simply that older people turned out to vote this time along, most in which are conservatives. This is not Americans speaking its just that the older generation were not happy the way the 2008 election turned out and came out this time along in big numbers to make a difference It is be absurd to say that Americans spoke.

Now have to say the conservatives did their job in getting their representatives in Congress and overwhelmingly taking over the House. I believe that if the conservatives keep this kind of voter turn out for them then they will successfully get a Republican president in office. It is very hard to see that happening because most young people only vote when the re's a presidential election, and by the way they voted in 2008 they turned out big numbers which most likely repeat if Obama decides to run again. I conclude with the thought of how will the political map will look after the 2012 election? Yes it is a couple of years from now but anything can happen in that time, but it just makes me think what if?

EPA's Anti-Prosperity Agenda

This article introduces some problems between the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It discusses some regulations that the EPA wants to implement on the states. Most of which hurt the economy in Texas and we all know how important Texas is to us right? The problem is that Texas will be hurt by the new rules EPA wants to impose. Texas has a major role in creating more than half of the net job growth in the last 12 months and EPA wants to implement these rules which may benefit some but hurt Texas which has about 167 major construction projects that can potentially be harmed by EPA. You should really go read the article it is very interesting how much the agency could affect the Texas economy.
